At Helderberg Primary school
we have a team of totally committed Foundation Phase teachers. Together we have a lifetime of experience teaching our little ones the art of Reading, Writing and doing Mathematics. Our Foundation Phase teachers are well-qualified and SACE registered.

HPS learners
are nurtured and spend their school days in a classroom with a calm and re-assuring atmosphere. At HPS, school is a safe place for all our learners where they can grow and develop at their own pace, but within the margins of the CAPS curriculum.

Being passionate
about teaching and loving the Lord, Jesus Christ, we value each learner as precious and unique. Having only one class per grade, HPS learners form a strong bond with each other as well as with their teachers.

Learners might need extra support
For any emotional or spiritual support, our school chaplain will step in on request. If academic support is needed, learners will receive Didactic assistance after school in small groups.

Situated at
the foot of the Helderberg mountain, our learners get the opportunity to go on nature walks, make their own little class garden, observe bird life and feed the geese and ducks. They learn how to respect and appreciate our environment, valuing all life.
